Illegal aliens are not precluded from receiving workers’ compensation benefits, the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania ruled on Wednesday in a case of first impression.
Even though they cannot legally work in the state, the court said, once aliens get a job, there is no existing law that states that they are not “employees.”
