New York State lost its claim to $6 to $10 million in artworks and military memorabilia decades after the works were transferred to a non-profit entity for $1, a state judge has ruled.

The decision by Justice Leland G. DeGrasse in State of New York v. Seventh Regiment Fund, 406660/96, Supreme Court, New York County, IA Part 25, dismissed the State’s suit against the non-profit Seventh Regiment Fund on statute of limitations grounds.
