When the Rev. Leon Manigault’s Ford Crown Victoria suddenly accelerated and hit a house in Cleveland in 1993, leaving him severely injured, it triggered nearly a decade of legal battles newly revived by the chance discovery of the audio portion of a videotape.

In the latest development, a divided Ohio Supreme Court has ordered the case sent back to a Cuyahoga County court for a new trial in the products liability case against Ford Motor Co.
