Federal Regulators Fight Deceptive Spam Operation

The Federal Trade Commission is taking an Internet spam operation to court, alleging that it flooded e-mail accounts with pornographic material disguised behind bland subject lines such as "new movie info." A hearing in the case, which is the first filed by the FTC involving spam with deceptive subject lines, is scheduled for April 22.
