Chief Justice William H. Rehnquist is back at work part time at the Supreme Court, working from both home and the Court, according to a spokeswoman. The announcement sheds little light on whether a retirement is imminent, but puts to rest speculation that he is bedridden, said law professor Lawrence Marshall, and indicates that Rehnquist hopes to return to the bench. The chief justice, who has been undergoing treatments for thyroid cancer, marks his 33rd anniversary on the Court this week.
