Gary Walker was horrified when he learned he was being sued for violating the Americans with Disabilities Act. The restaurant owner's feelings turned to anger when he realized the man suing him had filed virtually carbon-copy suits against more than 12 other small area businesses. Around the country, business owners, judges and politicians are complaining that employers are being hit with "drive-by" ADA lawsuits that they call little more than shakedown attempts by lawyers seeking a quick cash settlement.
