Television and print ads touting United Parcel Service’s signature color ask consumers, “What can Brown do for you?” But in the Atlanta-based company’s executive suite, a better question might be, “What can Teri McClure do for Brown?”

McClure, who became the company’s general counsel in December, is the first African-American woman to steer the shipping giant’s legal department. What’s more, she’s one of only a few minority GCs at Fortune 500 companies.
