The First Session of the new 110th Congress will bring us new committee chairpersons of the House Financial Services Committee and the Senate Banking Committee, with a Democratic majority for each. While some forecasts have been made regarding a number of pending issues (e.g., government sponsored enterprises, subprime lending, industrial loan companies and so on), not much has been said regarding the badly needed restructuring of our Federal Bank Regulators.
