Home Depot general counsel Frank L. Fernandez has resigned, the company announced Thursday. James C. Snyder Jr., the company’s vice president for litigation and risk management, was named interim head of the legal department. In addition, the company announced that Dennis Donovan, the executive vice president of human resources, will also be resigning.

Fernandez, who is also secretary and executive vice president, and Donovan will leave the company effective Feb. 14. The company did not give a reason for the departures.
