Screenwriters who have sued Fox Entertainment and others over the production of the 2004 comedy “Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story” have dodged an attempt by Fox to have their lawsuit dismissed.
Southern District of New York Judge Shira A. Scheindlin, in Price v. Fox Entertainment Group, 05 Civ. 5259, held that the plaintiffs’ and defendants’ screenplays were similar enough to allow the case to proceed.
