On several dozen days throughout the year, Amanda F. Lawrence navigates on her bicycle the back roads from her home in Mansfield, Conn., to her office at Murtha Cullina in Hartford. And while snow banks and traffic can crowd her riding space, they’re nothing like the challenges she encounters in the 50 or so bicycle races she competes in around the country every year.
Lawrence, an associate whose practice is split evenly between municipal/land use law and commercial litigation, has raced in the United States, Bermuda and Spain and anticipated the inaugural Tour of Islamabad March 23-25 would be “the coolest ride I’ve done” since becoming a road racer in 2001.
