Steefel, Levitt & Weiss has shed another partner and four associates from its San Francisco land use practice, sparking concern over the health of the firm’s core businesses.

Partner L. Elizabeth Strahlstrom has joined Bingham McCutchen’s land use and development practice. Four associates — William Fleishhacker, Miriam Montesinos, Alexis Pelosi and Elizabeth Sibbett — have joined their former Steefel bosses, partners Judy Davidoff and Arthur Friedman, at Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton. Davidoff and Friedman joined Sheppard Mullin April 2, and the four associates followed over the next three weeks, a Sheppard Mullin spokesman said. All six attorneys are now part of Sheppard Mullin’s San Francisco real estate, land use and environment practice.
