A discovery feud is playing out in Newark, N.J.’s federal court over indictments of an executive of the real estate empire of Charles Kushner and three outside accountants for conspiracy and tax fraud.

Defense attorneys want U.S. District Judge Jose Linares to strike or sever portions of the prosecutors’ case and order the government to turn over documents, including possibly exculpatory material.
