Earlier this month, the former prosecutor moved into private practice, joining San Francisco’s Sideman & Bancroft as a partner. Well-regarded among tax lawyers, Weill has spent his career defending and prosecuting civil tax cases and prosecuting criminal cases in the Northern District.
