A judicial oversight board will launch an investigation into a tell-all book on the Madrid terror bombings that was written by the wife of the judge who presided over the trial, officials said Wednesday.
The book, “La Soledad del Juzgador” (The Solitude of the Judge), came out last week — three weeks after verdicts in the case were handed down at the National Court. Among other things, it revealed parts of private conversations the main judge, Javier Gomez Bermudez, held with two colleagues who also presided over the trial, as well as with prosecutors, police and prison officials.
