Florida’s paralegal groups are at odds over a recent Florida Supreme Court decision that implements a voluntary registration program as a first step toward greater oversight of the profession.
The groups agree there’s a need for greater standardization of education, certification and experience criteria over the largely self-regulated paralegal profession. But the groups and The Florida Bar still vigorously disagree over how to proceed.
