It’s been seven months since a young Atlanta lawyer set out for a romantic Greek wedding getaway only to spur an international tuberculosis scare that left him at the center of intense media scrutiny, public outrage and a multiplaintiff civil suit in Canada.

This week the homeowners’ insurance company for responsible for more than $1.3 million in damage claims related to that suit, originally Andrew H. Speaker asked a Fulton County, Ga., judge to declare that it is not responsible for more than $1.3 million in damage claims related to that suit, originally filed in July by several fellow passengers on the Czech Airlines flight that carried Speaker from Prague to Montreal last May 24.
