Covington & Burling has recruited to its New York office a seven-lawyer private equity practice from O'Melveny & Myers, including that firm's former investment funds practice co-head, Timothy Clark, who will become co-chair of Covington's private equity practice. Another former O'Melveny partner, Loretta Shaw-Lorello, will also join Covington as a partner, along with five others making the move as counsel or associates.

Covington & Burling has recruited to its New York office a seven-lawyer private equity practice from O’Melveny & Myers, including that firm’s former investment funds practice co-head, Timothy Clark.
Clark, who will become co-chair of Covington’s private equity practice, specializes in representing private equity fund sponsors, and his clients have included CCMP Capital, Eos Capital Partners, Tishman Speye, and JPMorgan Capital.
