Joan M. Chambers (“petitioner”) petitions for review of the final decision of the Merit Systems Protection Board (“Board”) affirming her removal from her government position for falsifying a government document with the intention to mislead the agency. Chambers v. Dep’t of the Army, 85 M.S.P.R. 396 (Mar. 9, 2000). Because petitioner has not demonstrated that the Board erred in upholding her removal, we affirm.

BACKGROUND

Petitioner was employed by the Department of the Army (“agency”) as a Supervisory Health System Administrative Assistant at the Bayne Jones Army Community Hospital in Fort Polk, Louisiana. Petitioner supervised Ronneeke Gamble at the Bay Jones Hospital. During the course of a typical year, an employee of the agency is given two evaluations — a midpoint evaluation and an annual evaluation. The midpoint evaluation, which is contained on a midpoint counseling checklist form, is typically given about six months before the annual evaluation. In this case, petitioner, as Ms. Gamble’s supervisor and rater, completed the midpoint evaluation and met with Ms. Gamble on February 24, 1998. The petitioner and Ms. Gamble discussed the contents of the midpoint evaluation at this meeting, and then each initialed and dated the box adjacent the midpoint evaluation. Major Walter Duffy, the supervisor of petitioner and Ms. Gamble, also initialed and dated the midpoint evaluation on February 24, 1998.
