OPINION

Richard Walker appeals from an order of the Workers’ Compensation Appeal Board (Board) that affirmed the order of a Workers’ Compensation Judge (WCJ) who granted Temple University Hospital’s (Employer) request for a vocational expert interview under Section 314(a) of the Workers’ Compensation Act (Act), Act of June 2, 1915, P.L. 736, as amended, 77 P.S. �651(a). That section provides in part that an injured employee must submit to an expert interview by an appropriate health care provider or other expert if requested by the employer. Walker contends that the WCJ’s findings were not supported by substantial competent evidence and that the WCJ erred as a matter of law in granting Employer’s expert interview petition for an injury that occurred prior to the effective date of the Act of June 24, 1996, P.L. 350 (Act 57).
