A union appeals the March 31, 2000 order of the district court which granted an employer summary judgment in the employer’s suit to vacate an arbitration award. The union previously had invoked the interest arbitration clause of a collective bargaining agreement in order to have an arbitration panel settle a dispute over the terms of a new contract. The district court vacated the eventual award of the arbitration panel, finding that the arbitrators were without jurisdiction.

Vacated and remanded.
