Minter Ellison is advising Australia’s TPG Telecom Ltd. on a proposed acquisition of iiNet Ltd. that values the Perth-based DSL company at $1 billion.
The deal will create Australia’s second-largest fixed-line broadband provider with 1.7 million subscribers, putting it behind only Telstra Ltd. in the country’s telecom sector.
