Minneapolis-based Dorsey & Whitney has hired a corporate partner in Hong Kong.

Joe Sevack joins from Atlanta-based Troutman Sanders' Hong Kong office where he was a partner. Sevack advises on capital markets deals, specializing in high yield bond offers. In December, he acted for Chinese developer Powerlong Real Estate Holdings Ltd. on a $383 million double-tranche dollar-and-renminbi-denominated senior notes issue in Hong Kong. In July, he also advised Hong Kong developer eSun Holdings Ltd. on a $108 million renminbi-denominated bond offer.

Sevack joined Troutman Sanders in 2010 from Paul Hastings where he had been a partner for four years. Before that, he was a Hong Kong partner at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer for six years since 2000. Earlier in his career, he worked as an associate at Cravath, Swaine & Moore in New York.
