White & Case and Clifford Chance had the lead roles on a $2 billion Islamic bond issue, or sukuk, by the government of Indonesia.

The 10-year notes, which carried a 4.325 percent yield, were 3.4 times oversubscribed. The deal represents Indonesia's largest ever single tranche of dollar-denominated sukuk.

White & Case Abu Dhabi partner Shibeer Ahmed and Singapore partner Kaya Proudian led the team representing the Indonesian government. Indonesia's Thamrin & Rachman Law Firm served as domestic counsel.
