Southeast Asian firm Rajah & Tann has launched a contract lawyer service in the city-state.
R&T Asia Resources, wholly owned by the Singapore-based firm, will employ at least 30 contract lawyers and place them in clients' in-house legal departments during busy periods for the company.
During their in-house assignments, the contract lawyers will be overseen by Rajah & Tann partners Ryan Loh and Wilma Cheng and have access to the firm's resources, including its eight Southeast Asian offices and training programs. The successful candidates will be screened by Rajah & Tann partners before being recommended to clients, the firm said in a press release.
