Lateral moves are all about building a stronger and more vibrant business. Am Law 200 lawyers made more such moves in the past year than we've seen since 2009, according to our latest survey—the result of firms' scramble for new clients and market share in a fiercely competitive environment.
ALM, our parent company, has been engaged in a version of the same thing—expanding and redefining its business in a changing and challenging media landscape.
In January, ALM bought Legal Week, the London-based online publisher read by top firms in European and Asian markets.
