Marc Simon, an entertainment lawyer and director of “Unraveled”—a documentary that delves into the spectacular fall of his former boss Marc Dreier—has joined Fox Rothschild as partner in New York.

Simon spent the past eight years as a partner at entertainment boutique Cowan, DeBaets, Abrahams & Sheppard. He officially joined Fox Rothschild in March, but the firm confirmed his hire Wednesday.

In joining Fox Rothschild, Simon is re-uniting with several former colleagues from now-defunct Dreier LLP—including partners Darrell Miller, Tim Mandelbaum and Monika Tashman—in the hopes of expanding the Philadelphia-based firm's film practice. Mandelbaum and Tashman, who focus on entertainment and sports law, joined Fox Rothschild in 2012 from Hiscock & Barclay.
