Kirkland & Ellis, moving quickly to build up the private equity group in its new Boston office, has hired two partners from Proskauer Rose, including a leader of Proskauer’s private investment funds group.

Kirkland was set to announce Wednesday that it has hired Sean Hill, the former Proskauer practice group co-leader, and Stephanie Berdik, also a former Proskauer corporate partner. Hill and Berdik, who joined the firm Monday, are the firm’s first investment fund lawyers in Boston.
