Winston & Strawn made news last week with its hire of 10 lawyers from McDermott Will & Emery, including Washington, D.C.-based partner David Rogers. He had led McDermott's employee benefits practice and was recently a candidate to take over as chair of the firm.

Winston on Thursday announced the names of the eight other employee benefits-focused partners and one counsel who will join the firm, and Rogers is far from the lone prominent partner making the move.

The firm announced that Nancy Gerrie, a former managing partner of McDermott's Chicago office who also co-chaired the firm's qualified plans affinity group, will now co-chair Winston's employee benefits and executive compensation practice with Scott Landau, the current New York-based chair of the group.
