Davis Wang, a former China country head at Simmons & Simmons, has left the firm to become a co-founder of a new corporate advisory shop with offices in Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen.

Wang had been Simmons & Simmons’ China head since 2012, when he took over from Hong Kong partner Paul Li after Li became head of Asia at the British firm. A former China in-house lawyer for eBay Inc. and Microsoft Corp., Wang specializes in advising technology, media and telecommunications companies on investments and operations in China.
