Former Davis Polk & Wardwell partner Antony Dapiran will join Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom as of counsel in Hong Kong.

Dapiran left Davis Polk‘s Hong Kong office earlier this year after spending seven years with the firm handling securities offers and M&A deals related to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. He joined the Wall Street firm in 2010 from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, where he had been managing partner for the Beijing office and made his name for representing large Chinese state-owned enterprises such as the Agricultural Bank of China, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, the People’s Insurance Company of China and China International Capital Corp. on overseas listings and cross-border transactions.
