Zachary Fardon launched King & Spalding's Chicago office in August, and the former U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois is already proving that the reputation he built in that office will translate to growing his new one.

Patrick Collins will join King & Spalding's Chicago base after spending the last dozen years at Perkins Coie in the Windy City, his new firm announced Monday. As co-lead prosecutors in a case that sent former Illinois Gov. George Ryan to prison, Collins and then assistant U.S. attorney Fardon worked so closely together that news reports dubbed the duo “Starsky & Hutch.”

Joining Collins at King & Spalding is Perkins Coie partner Jade Lambert (pictured right), who worked with him for the past decade on cases ranging from the high-profile divorce of money manager and philanthropost Anne Dias Griffin to the 2009 Illinois Reform Commission, the latter of which launched in the wake of another ex-Illinois governor, Rod Blagojevich, being sentenced to prison.
