This is the last chance to take part in the nomination process for this year's Transatlantic Legal Awards, with lawyers on both sides of the pond encouraged to put forward deserving contenders.

The awards, which are judged by a panel of senior editors and reporters from the United States and the U.K., aim to identify the law firms, lawyers and in-house legal departments leading the way in the world's two largest and most fiercely competitive legal markets.

There are 22 categories in total, including two in-house awards – Transatlantic Legal Department of the Year and Transatlantic General Counsel of the Year. We also honor Transatlantic Law Firm Leader of the Year, Transatlantic Law Firm of the Year and much more.

This year's ceremony will be held June 13 at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower in London.

Last year, a raft of top international law firms were recognized for their cross-continental prowess at the Transatlantic Legal Awards, jointly hosted by ALM sister titles Legal Week and The American Lawyer.

At that ceremony, 20 awards in total were handed out, with Kirkland & Ellis named Transatlantic Law Firm of the Year, while Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom co-head of global transactions Scott Simpson was honored with the coveted Transatlantic Law Firm Leader of the Year prize.
