Former Colorado U.S. Attorney and Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr partner John Walsh on Tuesday officially announced his intention to run in 2020 for the Colorado U.S. Senate, seeking the seat currently occupied by Republican Cory Gardner.

Walsh, who left Wilmer in March as he prepared for a potential run, is joining a crowded Democratic primary field of 10 candidates.
