The investment entity that is parent to Brazil’s largest meat and poultry producer has dropped a 2018 malpractice suit against Baker McKenzie alleging that the firm’s local affiliate jeopardized a client’s $2.75 billion settlement connected to the “Operation Carwash” corruption scandal.

J&F Investimentos S.A. said in a filing Wednesday in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia that it was dismissing its complaint against Baker McKenzie and Brazilian affiliate Trench Rossi e Watanabe with prejudice.
