Morgan, Lewis & Bockius has hired a nine-strong intellectual property team from Cooley in London, the firm said in a statement Wednesday.

Morgan Lewis has hired IP partner Nick Bolter, who will join the firm with a team of four associates, a paralegal and three trademark professional staff from Cooley.

According to his LinkedIn profile, Bolter first joined Cooley in 2015. His practice focuses on the selection, prosecution, protection and enforcement of trademarks, brands and designs in the United Kingdom and across Europe.

Eric Kraeutler, head of Morgan Lewis' global IP practice, said in a statement that "Nick and his team represent a significant expansion of our IP capabilities in the United Kingdom and Europe.

"The team will work closely with our existing talent in the United States and Moscow, adding critical depth to our already global trademark and branding practice."

Cooley declined to comment on the departures.

This is the latest hire for Morgan Lewis in London. Last month, the firm hired a four-lawyer private investment funds team from Morrison & Foerster in London. That team included partners Oliver Rochman and Rob Mailer.
