Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom is the latest firm to lay off staff, joining several other Big Law firms that have downsized their staffing levels amid the pandemic.

The Am Law 50 firm—which last year reported gross revenues of $2.63 billion and profits per partner of $3.9 million—confirmed in a statement to The American Lawyer that it had “laid off just under 4% of professional staff across our U.S. offices.”
