Since the beginning of September, at least 11 Am Law 200 firms have acknowledged cutting staff positions. Go back to the start of the spring, and this figure climbs past 20.

Baker Botts on Oct. 8 became the latest firm to make a double-figure reduction in these roles, pointing to a “fundamental workplace shift” to explain the elimination of 50 jobs.
