While Big Law lawyers still tend to keep their political preferences to themselves, there are increasing signs that lawyers are becoming more vocal about their opposition—or support—for President Donald Trump in the run-up to the Nov. 3 election.

In interviews, 10 lawyers, including law firm leaders and former federal prosecutors, say they aren’t totally comfortable telegraphing their political support in a professional setting or on their personal social media channels for either major candidate. Still, several said that differences in the 2020 election are prompting more lawyers to become outspoken in political discourse.
