Hire Up: Cozen Keeps Laterals Coming, Non-Election Action in DC
A slower week for laterals, there was still some non-election related news coming out of D.C. and a couple of higher-profile hires by litigation funder Validity.

Cozen O'Connor continued its pandemic push over the last several months and there was a lot of lateral movement in the D.C. area, where apparently transitions are en vogue this week.
Cozen O'Connor added former Seyfarth Shaw health and life sciences partner John Shire to its roster in Washington, D.C. Shire will co-chair Cozen O'Connor's health law practice and health care and life sciences industry group along with existing partner R. Christopher Raphaely.
"Given the national attention on the health care sector and life sciences, and the potential for significant regulatory change, we are excited to have a partner who brings such a wealth of knowledge and connections," Raphaely said in a statement. "We believe this is a very exciting and compelling time to be in this space and welcome his experience."
