Legal Industry Adds Nearly 5,000 Jobs in Sixth Straight Month of Gains
Recently announced job cuts haven't weighed down the latest stats from the BLS. But many of these new cuts are permanent job losses for workers that had previously been furloughed.

The legal sector added nearly 5,000 jobs over the month of October as the U.S. unemployment rate dipped to 6.9%, according to the latest jobs report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
The figures mark the sixth straight month of increases to the category, which is comprised of attorneys, paralegals, legal secretaries and others who make their living in the law. The number of legal jobs in the U.S. now sits at 1,117,400.
