Kamala Harris’ Big Law Second Spouse, Doug Emhoff, has left the partnership at DLA Piper as Harris continues to work on a transition into the vice presidency.

A DLA Piper spokesman on Tuesday confirmed that Emhoff, a litigator in the firm’s Los Angeles office, will sever ties with DLA Piper by Inauguration Day. It’s an unsurprising move, given that he already stepped away from his work at the firm because of the election.
