If you could design a law firm from scratch, what would it look like?

It would certainly be profitable, with high revenue per lawyer. It would probably also be diverse, with plenty of female equity partners, racial diversity in the partnership and LGBTQ diversity at all ranks. And it would likely try to make the world a better place by doing plenty of pro bono work too.

In the United States, The A-List takes these things into account, as well as lawyer satisfaction, and produces a ranking of firms. But in the U.K., nothing similar has ever been attempted. Over the past year, however, Law.com International has produced a series of rankings that make it possible to compare firms.
