Accellion, a cybersecurity outfit in Palo Alto that says its “enterprise content firewall prevents data breaches and compliance violations from third party cyber risk,” was apparently the unnamed vendor that Goodwin Procter referenced in announcing the data breach that affected the firm on Jan. 20. And it has several Big Law clients. 

While Goodwin would not comment further on the incident, independent sources were able to confirm the identity of the company.
