Steptoe & Johnson was the most active law firm defending clients in COVID-19 cases last year, appearing as counsel in 210 cases in 2020 as the pandemic canceled events and companies took to the courts over contract disputes.

The Law Firms Activity Report, released Thursday by Lex Machina, a LexisNexis company, found that law firms including Dentons, Greenberg Traurig, Litchfield Cavo and Jackson Lewis took on hundreds of cases on behalf of clients defending themselves in litigation tied to the fallout from the pandemic.
