The head of Morrison & Foerster’s New York office, Brett Miller, along with two other bankruptcy partners, have plans to leave the firm for Willkie Farr & Gallagher, according to sources familiar with the moves.

The group move is one of a string of bankruptcy partner moves in Big Law this year. Just Tuesday, Sidley Austin announced that Tom Califano joined as a partner in its bankruptcy practice. Califano was previously global co-chair and U.S. chair of DLA Piper’s restructuring group. And earlier this month, Kirkland & Ellis added its first lateral hire in the practice in about 12 years by bringing on Christine Okike from Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom.
