After close to a year of vacancy in its client development role, Am Law 100 firm Akerman found the right person for the job, bringing on a former marketing chief of a midsize regional firm.

Akerman announced Tuesday that it has brought on Iris Jones, a veteran legal marketer who previously was the chief business development and marketing officer at Pennsylvania-based McNees Wallace & Nurick, as its new chief marketing and client development officer. She will be based in the firm’s Austin, Texas, office.
