A Florida surgeon seeks more than $400 million in damages from Holland & Knight and four Tampa, Florida, partners, alleging their mishandling of long-running litigation that ended with an adverse judgment against him caused his “financial ruin.”

James St. Louis, a spinal surgeon in Orange County, Florida, sued Holland & Knight and Tampa partners Bradford Kimbro, Joseph Varner III, Stacy Blank and W. Keith Fendrick, in the lawsuit filed Monday in Circuit Court of the Ninth Judicial Circuit in Orange County.
