A survey of diversity professionals in Big Law found that despite a renewed interest in diversity and inclusion within the legal industry, many of the same old challenges still exist, and there is doubt as to whether firm leaders are willing to make the necessary changes to really improve equity in the profession.

The survey, sent to roughly 20 diversity and inclusion professionals at firms of varying size and disparate locations, asked about the size of the teams the diversity pros were working with, what they are hearing from diverse attorneys at their firms and what challenges they encounter in their efforts. Several of these professionals responded and shared their observations. They asked not to be named so that they could speak freely.
