Under David Cambria, the “Godfather” of legal operations, Baker McKenzie built a formidable team focused on transforming how the firm could deliver legal services to clients.

But now that team has fully disbanded, with Cambria, who was the firm’s first global director of legal operations, decamping after three years in the role to take a leadership spot in PwC’s legal business solutions team this month. That came months after former legal project management director Casey Flaherty left for startup Lex Fusion and director of pricing strategy Jae Um departed to launch her own consulting business.
